FAQs for Vendors

  • Nonprofit partners of public lands sites, often called cooperating associations or friends groups, support these sites through retail stores or gift shops.  These public lands sites include (but are not limited to) National Parks, National Monuments, National Historic Parks, State Parks, National Wildlife Refuges, National Forest, and more.  For-profit concessionaire retail stores and references are not qualified for this platform.

  • No, you are not required to move current business over to the platform. 

    This platform was built with the entire Public Lands wholesale community in mind. While it is completely optional, the more buyers and vendors who participate, the greater the benefit for everyone in the channel. Whether you use it for all of your business or just some of it, Bison Leaf is here to make public lands wholesale buying and selling easier.

  • Buyers have a link on their buyer dashboard to recommend a vendor. This will send you a special application link. A vetting process is still required to ensure you are a good fit for the community and this does not guarantee access.

  • Yes, we have created a user-friendly interface to bulk upload your product catalog by using our downloadable template.  Product management is intuitive with features like bulk editing to update pricing, case packs, etc. You can also edit each product individually.

  • Yes!  We offer an “exclusivity” tag that you can apply to any product. If you’d like for a product to only be visible to a specific partner, you can assign that exclusive SKU to a specific buying organization.

  • We value transparency and encourage you to read the full Vendor Agreement, Code of Conduct, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy before applying.

    Here are the highlights:

    Membership & Free Access

    • Pioneer Vendors: Apply by August 1, 2026 for free platform access until December 31, 2026.

    • Joining after August 1 gives you a standard 1-month free Vendor trial once the marketplace goes live.

    • Once your free period ends, pick a plan in the Membership tab.

    Key Timeline

    • August 17, 2026: Buyer applications open.

    • September 15, 2026: The marketplace goes live. All vendor storefronts auto-publish.

    Order Payments

    • Off-platform accounting: Invoicing and payments happen between you and the buyer. The platform doesn't process order payments. You can attach an invoice to an order or send a message with a payment link through the portal but no payments are processed.

    Your Account & Fees

    • Membership and marketing fees are non-refundable once a term starts.

    • Unpublishing your storefront isn't the same as cancelling and won't stop billing.

    • To cancel, fully delete your account before the renewal day.

    Platform Rules

    • Act in good faith, with professional integrity and in a spirit of mutual collaboration.

    • Anti-Circumvention: Users agree to conduct all business initiated through Bison Leaf within the platform's framework. Vendors shall not request, encourage, or incentivize buyers to cancel Bison Leaf orders to avoid platform-related fees, reporting or visibility.

    • Accuracy: Keep pricing, inventory, descriptions, and lead times up to date.
