FAQs for Buyers

  • Starting August 17, 2026, buyers can apply to join, get approved (usually within 1-2 business days), then browse and order from curated vendors.  Shop your favorite vendors, find new vendors, and communicate through messaging directly on the platform. Orders are placed through the platform with each vendor individually.  Invoicing and payments are not handled on the platform and will be handled directly by you and the vendor according to your agreed upon terms.

  • You’ll need to complete the short application and be approved before you can browse vendors and place orders on the platform.

  • No. The platform facilitates order placement, management and communication, but invoicing is handled directly between you and the vendor.

  • Yes, if a product is marked “customizeable”, you can request a specific name drop and/or customization. This request opens a new message to the vendor where you can discuss the details, send photos, review mockups and manage your request all in one space.

  • We get it.  The last thing you need is another login to manage. But Bison Leaf wasn't built to add to your workload; it was built to consolidate it.

If you are currently bouncing between endless email threads, paper catalogs, mismatched spreadsheets, and hunt-and-peck invoice chasing across dozens of different public lands vendors, this platform replaces that chaos with a single dashboard.

Here is why switching to Bison Leaf makes your job easier:

    • Everything in One Place: Manage all your vetted public lands vendors with one login. Access storefronts, digital W9s, custom order requests, and past order histories without digging through your inbox.

    • Built for Public Lands, Not the Mass Market: Unlike generic platforms, every vendor here is specifically vetted and already works with public lands nonprofits. You don't have to sift through thousands of irrelevant listings to find what you need.

    • One-Click Reordering: Pull up your order history, click reorder on your top-selling products, assign a new PO# (optional) and you're done.

    • Custom Product Collaboration: Designing site-specific or custom park merchandise usually requires an absolute mountain of emails. On Bison Leaf, you can manage custom requests, mockups, and notes directly inside the portal.

    • Zero Disruption to Your Billing: We don't act as a middleman for your money. You still handle invoicing and payments directly with your vendors based on your existing terms.

  • Not yet. Because the public lands community uses a wide variety of unique inventory and tracking systems, Bison Leaf is designed to complement, rather than replace, your current workflow.

To bridge the gap, you can assign your internal PO numbers directly to orders for consistent accounting, and download full CSV exports of your order details to easily upload new products into your existing system.

If your organization requires a custom API integration, please reach out to our team so we can explore adding it to our feature roadmap.

  • No, this platform is exclusively for nonprofit retail partners of public lands.

  • No, your personal details are fully protected. Vetted vendors logged into the platform can only see your organization's name, website, and "about us" description.

Your team's names and phone numbers remain private by default and are only shared with a vendor once you place an order with them. You can opt to make your organization's primary phone number visible to all vendors in your settings, but the default keeps it restricted to your actual partners.
